Countdown Timer Banner

Honey offers a countdown timer. Use this section to create urgency around an event or sale. To add a countdown timer to a product please refer to this article.

Set up section

1. Select a Template to edit from the dropdown menu in the top bar.
2. In the side panel, click (+) Add section and select Countdown timer.
3. If desired, you can change the order of your sections by using the drag and drop handles ⋮⋮
4. Click Countdown timer to open its settings.
5. If desired, you may use an image background. Click Select image in the Image field and use the file selector to select an image from your library or upload a new image file.
   1. We recommend an image with a 2500px width or greater.
   2. Use the Image height slider to change the height of your image. The percentage is based on the original height of the image.
   3. If your image and text have poor contrast, check Use text protection layer to show an opaque layer over the media.
      1. Use the Text protection layer slider to change the lightness or darkness of the layer. Keep the slider at 0 to darken the image or slide to lighten the image.
6. If desired, you may change the text color and, if enabled, the solid background color of this section. Use the Color scheme dropdown to change this setting.
7. If desired, check Hide section after timer completes to hide the section when the timer ends.

Set-up blocks

Content

1. Click on a Content block to open its settings.
   1. Click + Add Content to create it (Note: You can only have one block of this type).
   2. Click Remove block or the eye icon to delete or hide a block.
2. Add Heading text to add a title. Leave this field empty to remove it.
3. Add Text to give more information. Leave this field empty to remove it.
4. Use the Font size slider to change the size of the text.
5. Add Button label text to add text to the button. Leave this field empty to remove the button.
   1. Add a link in the Button link field if the button is enabled.
6. Select Text alignment to align the text of the block. Only applies to large screens. Alignment will be centered on touch devices.

Timer

1. Enter a future date in the End date field. The format must be mm-dd-yyyy
2. Enter a time in the End time field. The format must be hh:mm (24-hour clock).
3. If desired, use the Font size slider to change the size of the card text.

End date and End time are required fields. If any of these fields are empty, the timer will display 0.

Content after completion

If desired, you may show alternative content in this section after your timer ends. Follow the steps below to set-up.

1. Click Add block and then add the Content after completion block
   1. Note: You can only have one block of this type
   2. Click Remove block or the eye icon to delete or hide this block.
2. Add Heading text to add a title. Leave this field empty to remove it.
3. Add Text to give more information. Leave this field empty to remove it.
4. If desired, use the Font size slider to change the size of the text.
5. Add Button label text to add text to the button. Leave this field empty to remove the button.
   1. Add a link in the Button link field if the button is enabled.

Content after completion will only be visible after the timer ends.
