Footer

The Footer appears at the bottom of every page. You can show quick links, your store's contact information and social media icons, a currency and language selector, and payment icons.

Frame

Set up section

  1. Click the Footer section to open its settings in the side panel.
    1. If the Footer is not already visible, click (+) Add section and select Footer.
    2. To hide the Footer, click the "eye" icon.
  2. Check Enable country/region selector to allow customers view your products in their preferred currency. This will display a selector with the countries and currencies you have setup in your Shopify Market settings. Only stores using Shopify Payments can use this feature. Learn more.
  3. Check Enable language selector to allow customers view your store in their preferred language. Frame provides translations for default theme text in English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, and Japanese. You may add translations for other languages manually. To enable, you must add and publish the languages you want to display in your Language settings. To learn more about how to translate your store content please visit Shopify's guide on Localization and translation and Translating and localizing your store.
  4. Click Show payment icons to display a row of supported payment methods. If you are not based in the United States, or are not using Shopify Payments, you must add both a Payment Gateway and Payment Methods in your Shopify Admin for these icons to appear.   5. Add Copyright text. The default text is pulled from your store settings. It is "© [current year] [merchant name]." However, you can edit this text to whatever you desire. This text will appear above the payment icons.
  6. To allow customers to follow your store on the Shop app from your storefront, check Enable Follow on Shop. Shop Pay must be enabled for this feature to work. Learn more
  7. Click Save.

The Footer section contains two types of blocks: Menu and Text. You can add a maximum of two Menu blocks and one Text block.

Menu block

This block displays a column of links from a selected menu. This block can only display top-level menu items.

  1. To add or change a menu, click one of the Menu blocks to open its settings.
    • If there is not already a menu block visible, you can add one. Click + Add block and select Menu to create a new Menu block.
    • To remove a menu block, click delete at the bottom of the block. To hide it, click the "eye" icon.
  2. To create a new menu, read Shopify's guide on how to create Menus.
  3. To change the menu displayed, click Change and select a different menu.
  4. To add a menu title, add text to the Heading field. This title will appear above the menu column.
  5. Click Save.

Text block

This block displays a heading followed by contact information.

  1. Click the Text block to open its settings.
    • If the text block is not visible, click + Add block and select Text to create a new Text block.
    • To remove the text block, click delete at the bottom of the block. To hide it, click the "eye" icon.
  2. To add a title, add text to the Heading field. This title will appear above your contact information.
  3. Add a Contact email. Leave this field empty if you want to hide it.
  4. Add a Contact phone number. Leave this field empty if you want to hide it.
  5. Click Save.

Set up section

  1. Under the Footer group, click the Footer section to open its settings in the side panel.
    • If the Footer is not already visible, click (+) Add section and select Footer.
    • To hide the Footer, click the "eye" icon.
  2. To change the background color of the Footer section, use the Color scheme dropdown.
  3. If desired, you may show decoration on your Footer. Use the Decoration option to select the decoration you desire. Select 'None' to hide all decoration.
    1. You may also upload your own Custom decoration. Use the selector provided and click Select image to open the image selector and select a custom decoration image from your library or upload a new image.
    2. This image will appear as a background image behind the section contents. We recommend an image size of 3840px width.
  4. To enable multiple currencies and/or languages, visit our documention on the Subfooter.
  5. To allow customers to follow your store on the Shop app from your storefront, check Enable Follow on Shop. Shop Pay must be enabled for this feature to work. Learn more
  6. Click Save.

    • To add a title, add text to the Heading field. This title will appear above your contact information.
  2. Add a Contact email. Leave this field empty if you want to hide it.
  3. Add a Contact phone number. Leave this field empty if you want to hide it.
  4. Check Show physical address to display the physical address of your store. This will show the address you set in your Shopify admin.
    1. To show a custom address, use the Address field.
  5. If desired, you may display some additional text to your customers using the Text field.
  6. Click Save.
