Product Header

This block displays the product title, price, vendor, and short description. 

Set up block

1. Click Products > Default product and select a product Template to edit from the dropdown menu.
2. Click the Product header block to open the settings.
   
   • If the Product header block doesn’t exist, go to the side panel and under the Product page section click (+) Add block and select the Product header block.
3. Check the Show vendor option to display the vendor name. This will appear above the product title; you can edit the vendor name for every product in the Shopify admin.
4. Add Short description text to display a short description below the product title. This is a dynamic field which means that you can add a unique short description for every product. For more information please refer to the "Dynamic source" section below.
5. Click Save.

Dynamic source

Use Metafields to add dynamic content to your sections and blocks. To learn more information about Metafields please visit Shopify's guide on Metafields. Below, we show you how to add a Metafield and connect dynamic sources in the Product header block.

Create short description Metafield

Create a  Text Metafield to add a Short description to your products.

1. Go to the Short description option in the Product header block settings, click Dynamic source.
2. Click (+) Create Metafield.
3. Click the Products tab. 
4. Click Add definition in the top-right.
5. Add the name of the Metafield. The name should describe the purpose of the Metafield. For example, "Product short description." We recommend using a name that will be easy to identify later.
6. Click (+) Select content type and under the Text tab select Single line text. We recommend a short sentence. 
7. Click Save.

Add content to product Metafields

After you created Metafields you can add content to them.

1. Go to Products on your Shopify admin and select one of your products.
2. Scroll down to the Metafields section and add your content in the Metafield you created. For example, add content in the Product short description Metafield that you created in the previous step.
3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for all of your products. For your convenience, Shopify offers a feature to edit Metafields in bulk. To learn more please visit editing product Metafields in bulk.
4. Click Save.

Insert Metafields as dynamic sources

Once you create a Metafield and add your content, you can add this as a dynamic source in Frame. Go to your theme editor  (Customize):

1. Go to the Product header block settings.
2. Click the Dynamic source button next to the Short description field.
3. Select the Metafield that you created.
4. Click Save.
5. Now you can see the dynamic content on each product page.

Note: Any change applied to this block will appear on all pages that use the same template.
